Appraiser 4All trainee appraisers that wish to remain in the trainee licensing category must complete post-licensing. You must complete the required 45 hours of post-licensing education by the second renewal period following the issuance of the license, plus the 3-hour Florida Law Update.

Roles and Rules of Trainee & Supervisor-Florida Law Update

The Florida Supervisor/Trainee Roles and Relationships course specifically addresses Florida’s requirements that relate to supervisory appraisers and registered appraisal trainees. You’ll learn about the updates and pertinent details of Chapter 475, Part II, of the Florida Statutes as well as the impact of Senate Bill 466. Specific parts of the Florida Administrative Code relating to appraisers are also discussed. This course will enable you to understand the requirements for the display and disclosure of the appraiser’s license, certification number, and registration. You’ll also learn about signature requirements for appraisal reports and certifications, including USPAP Standards Rules 2-3 and 3-3. Advertising, record, and workfile requirements as well as USPAP Competency Rules will also be covered. Another focus of this course is an issue that is of concern to many supervisory appraisers—whether or not to hire trainees. You’ll learn the advantages and disadvantages of hiring trainees. You’ll also discover the differences between being a supervisor and a mentor.

Residential Sales Comparison and Income Approach(30 hours) $299

Gain a basic understanding and knowledge of the residential sales comparison and income approaches. The text includes the valuation principles and procedures applicable to both approaches. With the aid of case studies, students will develop and apply the techniques for market analysis, including the application and use of matched pairs and capitalization rates and gross rent multipliers.

USPAP(15hrs) $199

The National Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) Course, 15-Hour Course (hereafter referred to as the National USPAP Course, 15-Hour) of The Appraisal Foundation focuses on the requirements for ethical behavior and competent performance by appraisers that are set forth in the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP). This course is unique in that it was developed in 1998 and is revised biannually for The Appraisal Foundation with assistance from the Education Council of Appraisal Foundation Sponsors (ECAFS).

**Please note that tuition includes the USPAP 15 Hour National Course Student Manual. Students must also posess and bring to class a current edition of the USPAP (2010/2011).
